reporting

so i said i'd let you know how many steps i took on wednesday, total 11,180. and then yesterday, i didn't walk on the treadmill, instead i thought i'd get my exercise doing yard work. i spent 3 1/2 hours trimming bushes, hauling rocks, cutting down bushes, pulling out stumps, cutting out dead plant matter, digging weeds, and removing some concrete edging. (i was a little worried the garbage man wouldn't take my garbage because it was so heavy. i was in the back yard when they came and i peeked to make sure the truck could lift it. hooray for hydraulic arms!)

i thought i'd definitely get my 10000 steps in that way.

not even close.

i almost hit 5000, but this morning i'm feeling the result of all that work. so it looks like that darn treadmill is the only way i'm going to be getting the required 10000 steps in. oh well, it was worth the experiment.

how are you who have pulled out your pedometers doing?

you inspired me not to use a pedometer but I did (literally) dust off my stair machine and do 25 minutes on thursday. friday I did 90 min of yoga and today's my birthday, so I won't be exercising today. isn't that a rule, that you're not allowed to exercise on your birthday? you've been doing a lot lately, it's fun to read about your life.

I like the word verification scrambles; today's is jlarupz.

I am not sure where the pedometer is, but I am fairly certain that I don't want to know what it would say about my level of activity. :P

muscle work is just as important. :-) I can't wait to get out in my garden and do a little work.

What a great goal. I'm going to find my pedometer and see what I can do. Thanks Emily.

I have a pedometer, but I don't know where it is. Does that count? No? Doh.

You go, girl.
