MA trip in five pictures or less and a couple more pics

i am so lucky. because i scrapbook, i have made the most wonderful friends a girl could ever have. i have friends here in denver that i get to hang out with on a regular basis. and i have friends all over the world that take a bit more effort, but when i do get to hang with them, it's like we've known each other forever. this past weekend, i flew to boston to see these girls:

we saw boston via this:

highly recommend it.

then we went to anthropology. that is one freaking, no make that, wicked expensive store. once i got past the fact that i wouldn't be purchasing anything of monumental value, i spent the next 30 minutes walking around spouting about all the amazing textures to be found in every nook and cranny. gorgeous.

we ate lunch at a fun cafe. i had crabcakes and forgot to take a picture until now:

then we went home.

saturday we drove to new hampshire. funny concept for me, it takes hours to drive to another state, well not wyoming i guess... and i won't say anything catty about wyoming because there are some very nice things in wyoming, but it's still an hour and a half. utah's at least 6, new mexico is 7, and nebraska, well i've never done that drive, but i'm sure it's at least 5. we went to CKC and met up for dinner with these girls:

so much fun.

i flew home on sunday, sad to say goodbye, happy to see my family though.

one last picture, because i love boston talk:

monday i went to my cardiology appointment. all is well. i am so relieved. my cholesterol is down this year after two years of climbing a little past the level i was comfortable with. i recommend black beans and oatmeal. and lots of salads.

i celebrated 9 years of heart recovery on the 12th of may. i am so blessed to have been given a second chance at life.

monday and wednesday i guest blogged at scrapbook and cards today's blog. here are the two projects i did for the blog:

for directions on making this card, well not this card specifically, but the general idea of this card, click here.

Isn't New England wonderful? I love it there so much... That 'stom's a brewin' billboard just cracks me up. ;p
How great that you had a most memorable trip with good friends- and even better news that you have a good heart, in more ways than one. :)

So glad you had a wicked fun trip!

So glad your heart is behaving.

So glad you're able to challenge yourself and step outside your scrappin' box, because you inspire me to no end every time you do. That's my new fave MLE layout, thank you very much.

That looks like so much fun, Emily! I've always wanted to go to the NE, but haven't made it there yet. Now I am even more convinced that I need to travel there soon.

Oh, and the best part about living in Wyoming? It takes me almost NO TIME AT ALL to be in Colorado ;oD . I'm down there as often as possible. We'll have to do another pea crop when Elizabeth gets here!

Looks like you had a great time! I love New England. I'm so glad I had the chance to live there for four years. :) And yeah, Anthropologie is beautiful! *sigh* Love that place.

LOVE these projects you did. So collagey and beautiful. :)

And I'm wicked glad (I still have some New England tendencies...) that you got a second chance at life! I'm so blessed to call you my friend. :)

Love you, Lovely!

Glad you had fun in Boston ! Anthropologie is quite $$$, but they usually have a good sale section. I hope you got to see that part! That's usually where you can find me :)
