forecasting partly sunny skies in june

so the main kit is already sold out, but you still have a chance to get in on three of the four addons: shade tree, picket fence, and front porch. i got front porch and this layout below is made entirely from that add on. i was happily surprised at how cheery and springy this add on was, i got it because i thought it'd be a nice neutral! :) this layout documents a conversation annie and i had recently. i was worried she felt cheated that she didn't get a sister. she made my momma heart happy when she answered my question. i'm so glad my kids are good friends. that's really what matters in the end.


POW! is a layout i've been wanting to do for a long time. just because it's something i'll forget when he's all grown up and married. i have a feeling he won't be making any such noises at that point in his life :)


i originally printed this picture to work with because the pinks and reds of the azalea bushes matched the colors of this kit so well. i was going to talk about how beautiful my in-laws' yard is every year, my mother-in-law is a very talented gardener. but then when i was looking at the picture, i just started missing them. we moved 5 years ago, after having lived 30 minutes away for two and a half years. it's a lot harder to see them nowadays.
just because i like to try misting everything that is fibrous, i had to try the jillibean flowers. i think it turned out quite nicely.
