just saying so happy it's partly sunny

really, i can't tell you just how much i am loving the fact that the snow is gone and i can walk outside without a jacket on. it has been a LONG winter and i can hardly stand being inside anymore. on docket today: cardio boxing workout on the wii, no, maybe i'll go on a brisk walk instead..., folding of some clothes, and then a trip to paulinos to get my tomato plants--maybe will get a couple of other things, maybe. but before i head out for the day, i've got some partly sunny studio calico sneaks for you. april added another add on to the mix this month because things sell out so fast. there's rec league (my favorite paper from crate and american crafts were in this one, it's a happy red kit with a fun stamp), shade tree (cool buzz and bloom chipboard and washi tape), picket fence (loved the OA mini alphas), and front porch (the K&Co alpha intrigued me, and the laces won me over in the end, i used them on 2 of my 3 layouts). each was tempting in it's own right.

this one was in the slide show, everything here is from the add-on front porch. i bought that add-on thinking it was going to be nice neutral kit. this layout is anything but nice and neutral. it's got some AMAZING happy colors in it. i fell in love. i used the 3" scalloped punch for the pieced circle.

using the main and one of the stamps from rec league. i also used hydrangea mist, broken china distress ink, baker's twine in turquoise, and modern red paint. the red works great with the main SC exclusive paper and the paper lace in front porch. the blues go perfectly with a paper in front porch too :).

this one uses the main, rec league and front porch. i used the bumpy road and arch scallop punches, blank canvas paint, yellow twisted burlap, and lemon mist. the jute wasn't quite the right yellow so i misted it and voila! perfection. i also broke out the K&Co. fabric swatches that will be available in the embellishment section of the shop come thursday. i love those swatches of fabric, they add such a nice texture. i trimmed my strip with the pinking shears.

and this last sneak uses the main, rec league, and front porch as well. i misted the flower with the hydrangea mist and love how it came out. i am a sucker for misting fabrics :) i used the bittersweet jute, it matches the alpha in front porch almost like they were made for each other. i hear from nik, and it makes me sad to learn that the jute will be gone once it's gone. i LOVE that stuff.

any shop item you order now, you can have held until your reveal purchases. just shoot an email to info@studiocalico.com and reference your order number.

and an update on the pink slipped stamps:
mini ledger, tree, pinwheel, and pinked circle/flower are all that are left. get them. really, the pinked circle is genius.

I've been running on the treadmill all winter (and now finally outside - hurray!), so I haven't worked out with cardio boxing in a long time, but every once in a while when I finish something I'm doing I think "That's the combo!" :)

I've been trying to avoid sneaks, just makes me sad that I had to let my sub go for awhile, but your sneaks are just too good to miss. Your gallery is always one of my favorite. you just keep getting better and better. can't wait to see the full reveal!
