with a quick break for station identification

our vacation is almost over. we are a little melacholy today.

quick recap of the last week:

monday we went to schilthorn and piz gloria. started hiking down to the next tram station but got a bit fearful and headed back up. it was a serious hike, despite it's short duration. seriously 45 degree angles.

tuesday was into bern for baptisms at the bern switzerland temple. we were so tired from the day before we came home and took serious naps.

wednesday was lauterbrunnen, a valley full of waterfalls. we did a wanderweg to a place called tremmelbach falls. it's the only accessible waterfall INSIDE a mountain. it was fanfreakintabulous! we then took an aerial tram up to grimmelwald and hiked around there for a bit. lovely little no car town. we decided to hike up to murren where we'd been on monday, it was beautiful. the hike took just over an hour. ethan was rather put out. he didn't realize we'd be hiking UP the mountain. he'd worn his tennis shoes, only good for hiking DOWN mountains apparently :)

today we went back to lauterbrunnen because i love murren. we trammed up to murren then hiked down to grimmelwald the opposite wanderweg we'd done the day before. then we trammed back to murren and did another wanderweg to grutchalp, the aerial tram station, then back down into lauterbrunnen. we ran into some cows heading home to barn on the last leg of our journey. so magical.

we leave tomorrow morning for one more day in zurich then it's back to the states. it's been the most beautiful vacation. i wouldn't change a single day of it. i'm still adding photos to my facebook album, you're welcome to check them out, i've made it a public album so if you don't have a facebook account you can still see the photos.

and for all you scrapbookers out there, studio calico is starting to reveal their newest line "elementary" on the blog. go check it out!
