seeing pink on the easel

i've finally got some sneaks from the october studio calico kit. you want 'em? :) i am not a pink scrapper, and i wouldn't have considered this a pink kit at all. one of the add ons i got has pink in it, but the main only has one sheet of all pink, that's it. but this month i gravitated toward the pink. kind of funny. also, don't forget that subscribers get early dibs on addons, so be there monday the 27th at noon EST. and if you've been a subscriber for 12 consecutive months, you get 10% off add ons. you just have to stay a subscriber to maintain that reward. pretty cool huh? so read it all carefully and keep on keeping on if you're a subscriber :) and if you're not, well get on it.

this first sneak uses the main on the easel (love that name!) and just a bit of the add on drafting table. i think the SC exclusive papers are divine in this kit. divine.

this one uses the main as well as the still life add on. i did this really funky technique that didn't quite work, but i made the rest of the layout work around it. when i sent in the projects later on, i started freaking out, it's kind of weird. annie assured me it was funky and she loved it so send it in anyway. so i apologize in advance if my funkyness lowers your faith in me :) it's different. i love the layout though, the story it tells is only funny to our family, but that's who we scrap for right?  i used the stamp from the en plein air add on. i love that stamp. i used a whole bunch of mist and ink on this page, but you can't tell from this sneak :)

and this is my therapeutic layout.  i wrote and wrote and wrote and wrote. you're seeing most the the stuff going on in this sneak, the rest is writing. i cried while doing this page. a lot. and i tried some new things and loved how they worked out. and i dismembered a scrap product and was OK with it. this is a powerful layout for me. and it's really freaky how that sparkly button looks so pixelated in this picture. it really looks like that though, promise. i think this uses the main and still life. lots of paint and mist too. and i should have bought the martha stewart hydrangea punch, but i haven't yet made the plunge. i wished i had for this layout, then i realized i could CUT THEM OUT MYSELF! hello :) much funkier that way too.

want to see some of the other girls' sneaks? head over to the website, via this handy link. you can also check out their personal blogs as well.

and i have my first elementary infused layout to share with you. i helped out on the WCS blog this week, making a layout inspired by my current favorite illustrator, cate james. kim's been blogging all week about children's books, it's been really fun to see what others love too.

rusty hinge distress ink and looky there paper available in the SC shop. the elementary line, of which i used: the alpha and label sticker sheets, atmosphere paper and mister huey, harper's rule and show your work papers are all available on line now or in a store near you. see twopeasinabucket.com or stopandscrap.com for online sources.

finally, you want to know what supplies i used this month? not all of them ended up showing up on a layout, but i know all of them work because i have a lot of half finished layouts on my desk still. i had a hard time getting my thoughts out this month :) here's the list:

Your sneaks are so gorgeous! I love them :) I'm thinking of picking up bubblegum mist this time around; I'm happy to hear it matches with the kit!
