garbage salad has competition

i don't know if anyone remembers, but when CHA was in chicago, my favorite culinary treat was the garbage salad at the steakhouse across the street from the convention center. i was lamenting the fact that i'd not get to have my traditional salad this year. i needn't have lamented. our first night in orlando, we went to this fabulous restaurant called taverna opa and they had THE MOST DELICIOUS greek salad, i mean look at that HUNK of feta? and since paula and i always split our meals, and paula doesn't like feta, guess who got to indulge? :) i hardly missed the garbage salad, add the amazing hummus and tzatiki, well i was one happy "kouklah."

more soon...

Mmmmm tzatiki. Can we go to Orlando again? Well, maybe not. Let's just try to find Greek food somewhere else. :)

That looks awesome. You just helped me decide what I'm having for lunch! Hopefully my local greek deli will have a similar salad available.
