embellishing a little :)

i had the honor of guest designing for kenner road's march kit, brittany meadows. i normally have a tough time using embellishments, i can use them, but i have to think about using them. however, for this amazingly fun kit, i found just the opposite to be true. i had to force myself to use the papers. and i LOVED the papers so much (the sass and jillibean papers were some of my favorite new releases even), but i just kept using the embellishments instead. it was really fun to create with this kit and i profusely thank kl for asking me.

i decided to make a mini out of the maya road mini chipboard banner. it was mini indeed! but so much fun to put together. i went out on a limb and included pictures of a early 20-something me, please no comments on the HUMONGOUS hair and glasses. it was the 90s folks.

get it? abridged version? smaller version? hee hee. i crack myself up.

this picture of me, my head looks sooooo much larger than kelly's. maybe it really is...

this is the first layout i put together. the GCD flowers just shouted, "MAKE ME INTO A PLANET!" to me. planets = outerspace = spaceman. can you see my reflection in the picture? :) soooo much fun to put this one together, it's a bit different for me, but it turned out exactly as i'd imagined it.

this layout is about how ethan and i are both terrified of heights but that we were both brave and crossed the bridge at royal gorge. it's over 1000 feet above the canyon below. pretty scary, but we did it eventually. i'm very proud of us :)
and this one uses not a strip or block of PP at all. i didn't intent that to happen, but it just did. it was really fun to put together, based on the hanger from the cotton lawn add on, i just started hanging things .
thanks again to KL, it was a pleasure to design with this kit. i know it's still available, so click here for more information.
