posting layouts

creative title.

but i thought i'd better hurry and get these layouts posted before the festivities of NSD. have you checked out the SC blog yet to see all the girls' challenges? so many fun ideas to scrap all day on saturday! hee!

so here are my layouts i created for the may kit, granny's cupboard, unfortunately for you, the kit and all add ons are all sold out. but enjoy the following as consolation:

like i said in my sneaks, ethan has had a poetry unit at school this spring. i could do a layout for each poem. they make me that happy. i think i'll put together a mini album of sorts for him to have, but then if i give them to him, i won't have copies. so maybe i'll make two. the part of this that i love the best is when he says he shares almost nothing with others due to the lack of returns. that has to do with loaning pencils out at school. if you're a long time blog reader, you'll remember his interest in pencils at the beginning of the year. well he settled into using mechanical pencils for most thing, but keeping a stash of yellows in his locker. upon loaning out said pencils, he started realizing he wasn't getting them back. he's pretty protective of this stuff. that line shows just how protective. i just love this snapshot, in his own words, of him at twelve. he is very perceptive.

i try to do a two pager every month, but it doesn't happen. this month worked out though. i loved the k&co. die cuts, i could have used the entire pack on this i think. the journaling on this one says it all, i love being involved in outside pursuits, but most importantly, i love being a part of my family.
i'd sprayed the lace with the lemon maya mist but didn't end up using it on a layout. i quickly threw this little card together and was pleasantly surprised at how cute it turned out. :)
and the famous first layout that made me realize i could use this kit. loved the subtle contrast of white and cream this month. my husband and i traveled to switzerland a few years ago and found this cow while hiking in the alps. it got to be kind of funny, he would really follow me everywhere i went in that little clearing. happily he stayed with his herd when we got enough photos and moved on. i think it was my bright pink shirt...
to see all the products i used for these layouts, see this post.

I LOVE all your layouts, specially the second one (OF ALL THE ROLES). The design and journaling are just beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration. :-)

Emily - totally loving "In His Own Words" and would like to do a 12x12 list page, but... not sure how to print straight to a 12x12 page with a normal printer. What's your secret?
