happily hopping along studio calico's DOCUMENTARY blog hop!

that's right, the SC designers are doing a blog hop today, june 1st, in celebration of the release of documentary. here's the layout i made with the line. i wish i could have used every piece of paper, but there's plenty of time for that. :) at least i keep telling myself that.

make a comment on my blog for a chance to win the entire collection. tell me about your favorite scrappy trend right now. then go to the next stop on the blog hop, which would be ms. jenn olson's blog. we tried to make this seamless, linking you to the next person so you could just move from blog to blog. you're also welcome head to the SC blog for yet another chance to be entered to win. if at any time you get lost or confused, go to the SC blog, all participating designers are listed there.

i tell you, it keeps getting better. i didn't think i'd like a SC line more than i loved anthology, i mean how cool is an alpha with text inside it and a sweet bit of green outlining it? and then the lithograph paper? the yellow side has graced more than a few of my layouts. but leave to april and her amazing graphic designer stephen to top it with their mid season release, DOCUMENTARY. at first glance, it's a great travel line. and that's fully what i intended to scrap for the blog hop, but then i started play with it and somehow this yummy summer layout fell into place. so bonus for me, it's a delicious travel line AND a fun summery one as well. i used tina's paint technique under the title and love it. my favorites of this line? well, honestly i adore the journaling cards. americana signs from the 50s are one of my favorite things, and these are just happy.
i really thought my favorite would be this sheet called camera shy because it's ORANGE. i'm sure it will be one i use often and much.
then i looked closely at this one, called jet set and went, "AH HAAAA!" almost every state/region has a map of a different state/region in it. like washington state has an arizona map pieced to fit. and france has texas and oklahoma. rather clever in my opinion.and the browns in f-stop are just yummy and i was sure it would be one of the first i cut into. i haven't used it yet...
but i was pleasantly surprised by this one. it must be the yellow. i know i'll be using this a lot in the next few months, it's a very versatile piece, and the blue is soooooo pretty.
documentary is now available at twopeasinabucket.com, stopandscrap.com, and amillionlittlethings.com. also check it out soon at scrapbook.com.

i'll be closing comments 24 hours from now, so that's 10 p.m MST today.

oh, and one final thing. please read the fine print, click on the image, go to the SC shop and save 20% today, june 1st from midnight to midnight EST.

Love what you did with this line. I don't know if this is a trend or not, but I'm suddenly wanting to put orange on all my layouts.

Gosh, I wish my pages would "fall into place" like yours did! Wonderful page!
Now about trends...I love border punches - use them on just about every project! And I love all the sewing images being incorporated into lines nowadays too.
Thanks for the chance to win!
