finishing off the studio calico/hero arts blog hop

welcome! i hope you've had fun seeing how all the different designers have worked their own special style of magic with the new studio calico + hero arts stamps. what a fun combination, don't you think? i'm the last designer stop on the blog hop (but make sure you head back and answer the question on the SC blog as soon as you finish here...) and if you've been playing along this week, you already know the drill:
We're giving away FIVE Studio Calico + Hero Arts clear stamp sets for EACH day of the hop (Monday through Wednesday!) Just leave a comment on each stop in the hop and HA will pick a random winner from ALL of them! The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to WIN! Yay! Winners will be announced on Saturday, July 16.
and if you have no idea what i'm talking about, here's a list of places you should have already been:
1.  SC blog
2. Hero Blog
3. Vee Jennings
4. Kelly Purkey
5. Kelly Rasmussen
6. Sasha Farina
studio calico teamed up with hero arts recently to bring their most popular designs to the scrapbooking/cardmaking world. some of the stamps have been hugely popular in past kits, some are brand new. designers from SC and HA got a chance to play with them for the hop. i made some book plates and a card with my sets. i have to admit, the book plates, although very simple, turned out way better than i ever imagined and make me very happy. the set called I LOVE BOOKS comes with three different "ex libris" images, i used two and made 6 of each. i colored the images with colored pencil and used paper from the memoir line to add more dimension. each book plate is actually two stamps, the "ex libris" image and the "this book belongs to..." image. cute, huh?

wrap them all together, tie some twine around them, finish with a chipboard button, and you've got a great teacher gift!

my second project is a card. and i finally made an acceptable looking paper rose! this set of stamps is called MY HAPPY. i embossed one of the circle designs and used one of the sentiment stamps. combined with the cupboard paper from memoirs and a rose made from homestead, i think it's a fun card.

thanks for joining me on the SC/HA blog hop, and don't forget to head back to the SC blog for a chance to win some of the new paper...

i'm busy getting ready for CHA and the august SC kit (LOVE), i'll be back with some sneaks, but you probably won't see much more of me after that :). bad blogger.
