with some inspiration

i got this facebook message from my friend kimberly neddo saying she'd found this fun inspiration piece on pinterest and thought it would be fun to see how a few different very talented scrappers interpreted it. sadly, the original source is nowhere to be found, so if you know, we'd all appreciate knowing so we can give credit!

kimberly, diane payne, mandie pierce, and sasha farina all played along, please check out their blogs to see what they took from the piece.

here's my version, i'd been working on a challenge post for scrapbook and cards today's blog about journaling the right now things and realized the layout i'd shared was from almost exactly a year ago, so i thought this design would work great for doing a year later version. I used only scraps on my desk, those destined for the recycling bin for most of this, added some ribbons and such for texture and journaled between the strips. i love how it turned out!

Emily, this is seriously cool! I love how you worked the journaling in between all the strips of paper and ribbon!
